Licenses

1. Overview

This license and the Terms of Service give you permission to use the software and included materials. They do not transfer ownership of the app, themes, source code, or other protected materials.

2. NyaIcon software license

Subject to compliance with these terms, NyaIcon grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license, terminable as described below, to install and use the Mac app on Macs you own or control.

Permitted use

• Install and use NyaIcon on Macs you own or control.
• Use the app to apply or restore icons on those Macs.
• Import and use artwork that you own or have permission to use.
• Use NyaIcon-created themes for your own personal or internal icon customization.

Restrictions

Unless applicable law expressly permits it or NyaIcon gives written permission, you may not:

• Copy, redistribute, sell, sublicense, rent, lease, or share the app or its protected files.
• Bypass security, abuse-prevention, or other technical limits.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code.
• Remove copyright, trademark, license, or attribution notices.
• Use NyaIcon materials to create a competing theme catalog or product.

3. NyaIcon-created themes

For theme materials in which NyaIcon owns or is authorized to grant the relevant rights, you may use them through NyaIcon and modify them for your own personal or internal icon customization. You may not publish, redistribute, package, sublicense, or resell original or modified theme files unless a theme-specific license or written permission allows it.

If a theme includes a separate notice or license, that theme-specific notice controls for the relevant files.

4. Your imported artwork

You retain the rights you already hold in artwork you import. Imported artwork is processed locally on your Mac, and importing it does not transfer ownership or grant NyaIcon a license to it.

You are responsible for ensuring that imported files and your use of them comply with law and do not infringe another person’s copyright, trademark, publicity, privacy, or other rights. NyaIcon does not grant you rights in any third-party character, logo, trademark, app icon, photograph, or other protected material.

5. Third-party names and materials

Third-party names, trademarks, characters, logos, app icons, and artwork belong to their respective owners. Their appearance in the Services does not imply sponsorship, endorsement, or affiliation. NyaIcon’s software license does not grant permission to reproduce or distribute third-party materials; you must obtain any rights your intended use requires.

6. Open-source software and fonts

NyaIcon may include software, fonts, or other components provided under separate open-source licenses. Those licenses govern their respective components and are not replaced by this page. Required notices may also be included with the distributed app.

7. Termination

This license ends if you materially violate its terms. If it ends, you must stop using and delete the affected NyaIcon software and protected files. Ownership, third-party rights, restrictions, and other provisions that by their nature should survive will continue to apply.
